  • Just Visiting

According to this, I haven’t been on for 1 year, 3 months, and 1 day. Wow, great use of a lifetime membership on Xanga. Who knew?

Honestly, it took me 5 minutes looking around trying to figure out how to make an entry.

I just corrected a grammatical error pointed out by my only reader. I am losing my Xanga touch.

  • Before I forget, I ran 2.80 miles since the last update. I am too lazy to check. Can one of my seven readers add up the totals for me? Thanks!

I was in San Diego the past weekend. Man, was I lazy and dirty. I didn’t move from the couch on Sunday. I think I have sores on my back. Just kidding. We rented a nice suite at Petco Park to watch two teams. Doesn’t really matter, does it? Go A’s!

The weather is fantastic and I am stuck inside working!! This reminds me why I live in California. Awesome weather. And if you don’t mind me, I have to go number two now. Is that too much information? Too bad! Ha!

  • April Fool’s Day

Let me start off by saying….today is April Fool’s Day! So, what can I make up, I mean, write to “trick” all 7 of my readers into believing some fiction to be truth and then having me turn around and say just kidding, April Fool’s!

So, let me concoct a big fish of a story. And so we begin…

Once upon an April morning..who am I kidding? I can’t think of anything right now. It’s too early in the morning. So, the end! Yay!

01 April 2008: Cardiovascular Update for Edmond D. Lee

    January total: 29.73 miles

    February total: 4.93 miles

March total: 13.83 miles from last time + 15.85 miles since last update = less than January = I suck.

Grand total 2008: 64.34 miles or about the distance from here to China divided by 1000 km

My blogging frequency is quite poor actually. Hopefully, I can crank it out in April 2008.

    Other notes:

Battlestar Galactica is a great show! I love it. Too bad the next season, the 4th, is its last season. The new season starts April 4th! I have discovered that I can watch it online too. I am not sure if I have Sci-Fi channel. Anyways, also check out this site: www.hulu.com

  • a NEW xanga?!

The NEW Xanga. How interesting. Obviously, I haven’t been blogging in quite awhile as I just saw the new redesign. I am lost. Where do I start with this? Anyways, I was very ill a few weeks ago and was pretty miserable. I have not been exercising much at all. I am starting again. One of the benefits, or not, of being sick is that you lose weight. In this case, a good thing for me. Then again, it could be meat deprivation. The mere fact that I have not had some cow or pig or chicken could be a factor. But, I am not a nutritionist, so let’s just say having SARS is a weigh loss inducer.

So…after quite a bit of searching (I couldn’t locate my last Cardio update), it is time for an update. My last update was February 5. About a month later. Without further delay….drum roll please…

    Cardio Update

    January total: 29.73 miles

    February total: 3.93 miles

    2008 YTD: 33.66 miles

THAT was my last update. Sad to say, but I ran an additional 1 extra mile in the month of February. Brand new total of 3.93 + 1.00 miles = 4.93 miles. Suffice to say, I did not exceed my January total. Hopefully March is a better month.

    January total: 29.73 miles
    February total: 4.93 miles
    March total: 2.25 miles + 1.80 miles + ~2.65 miles = 6.7 miles.
Grand total 2008: 41.36 miles or about 2166 kilometers

Outstanding news. I have already demolished my total from February!!
On another note, a mini-tangent, I have let my Union City Sports Center membership expire. It was like $300 something to renew and it doesn’t make fiscal sense to renew when my work opened up a new gym (not as nice), but they aren’t going to reimburse this year at the Sports Center de City of Union. On another slight mini-tangent, I have been pilating for the past two weeks after work. For those of you not in the know, pilating is performing pilates. I have no idea if pilating is an actual word. As I write this out, there is a red dotted line under the word. So, I doubt that.

My coworker wants me to sign this petition. It is a petition to get the congress of the United States to make St. Patrick’s Day a national holiday. If you look at the website, it’s sponsored by Guinness. Hmmm, I wonder if they stand to make some money from this. An Irish brewer and an Irish holiday, BUT we are in America. Oh well.
    And I am done son.

  • Lent

Ash Wednesday, in a few minutes, will start the Lent season. I am not Catholic, but I went to a Catholic school. There really isn’t a scientific correlation to that but basically, I am giving up meat for the duration of Lent. I am not going to eat meat until Easter Sunday. I think Lent actually ends on Good Friday. We’ll see. I have a feeling my body will go in protein withdrawal shock and a couple of people have already casted doubts to my ability to abstain from eating cow, chicken, or pig. Does fish count?

  • Super Bowl XLII

The Giants beat the Patriots 17-14!! Awesome, awesome game. Not necessarily a fan of the Giants, but definitely despise the Patriots. So, I am happy.

    Cardio Update

    January total: 29.73 miles

    February total: 3.93 miles

    2008 YTD: 33.66 miles

  • Lost Season 4

Lost is baaaaack! Who did not watch? Go watch and then talk to me. I will give you an hour. Lost is an awesome show. Too bad there are only going to be 8 episodes this season. What a tease.

    Bonus time!!

I ran today. I am fat. I haven’t lost any weight. I haven’t really dieted. Well, I almost ran 30 miles in the month of January. Less than a mile a day. My goal for February is to obviously increase my output. Stay tuned!

    Previous Total: 25.66 miles

    Today: 3.07 miles

    Current YTD: 29.73 miles

January 28, 2008

  • Stardate 28th of January 2008

    Previous Total: 23.60 miles

    Saturday: 2.06 miles

    Current YTD: 25.66 miles

I am looking to buy a new bed. But, how much money should I spend? What kind of bed does everyone have? I am looking into at least a queen-size bed. That is a considerable upgrade from my current sleeping condition.

  • MLK Weekend

So, I am doing all this cardio work in hopes of losing some weight. Okay, considerable amounts. Over the past year/18 months, I have packed on a lot of unnecessary and unwanted weight. Basically, I am a fat ass™.

    Previous Total: 17.24 miles

    MLK Weekend: 6.36 miles

    Current YTD: 23.60 miles

Almost a full marathon and still no progress with my weight loss. I guess I have to start the dieting portion now. Sigh.

In other news, another one of my friends is pregnant! My goodness. That is seriously like 304 baby showers I will have to be attending. Every wedding I have been to, it seems like the couple is expecting the same year.
